Which Chrysler model do you have a unit for?
For the first generation 300C, model years 2003 to 2010, in both saloon and estate form. The Voyager, the PT Cruiser and the Sebring were given different dashboards, and we currently have no model-specific kit for those.
Is it a good solution for an American import too?
Especially so - that is where the gain is greatest. A factory radio built for the American market tunes the FM band on a different channel spacing from European stations, so reception here is poor and RDS does not work. The Android head unit comes with European tuning, so that problem disappears.
What happens to the factory premium sound system?
The premium system has a separate amplifier, so the wiring differs from cars with the standard specification. Let us know before ordering if your car has one, so that we can recommend the right solution.
Are the steering wheel controls and the factory functions retained?
Yes. The steering wheel buttons keep working after the learning procedure, the factory speakers and aerial can be used unchanged, and if the car has a reversing camera it can in most cases be rewired.
