Frequently Asked Questions - Quick Troubleshooting
Below we have collected the most common problems and their basic solutions. Click on the question to open the answer!
Please always read the user manual by providing your order number and email address.
The device won't turn on, what should I do?
First, check the connection according to the user manual:
- Make sure the main power connector is fully seated.
- Check if the fuse is blown.
- Check whether the CANBUS decoder (if included - not mandatory for all models ) and the 8 PIN connector are connected correctly.
- If there is a separate ACC wire, make sure it is receiving an ignition signal.
If it still doesn't turn on after checking these, please write to us at info@topnavi.hu and attach a photo/video of the connection.
The touch screen is not working/not responding properly.
Try the following in order:
- Restart your device.
- Clean the display (greasy fingerprints, film, etc. can interfere with the touch).
- If the error persists, calibrate the display: touch the screen with 5 fingertips at the same time, then follow the "X" indications that appear on the display to calibrate.
- As a last resort, a factory reset may also help (settings → factory reset).
If none of these steps help, take a video of the error and email it to us.
There is no sound during playback - what should I check?
- Check that you have properly connected the ISO / factory connector to the car's factory hi-fi system.
- If you have a factory-amplified system, check to see if the amplifier is receiving a power-on signal.
- If your previous multimedia device connected the amplifier with a REMOTE cable, make sure that the appropriate AMP/ANT/REMOTE cable of the new device is also connected.
- Check the settings to make sure that the "Fader/Balance" is not set all the way forward/backward or to the side.
If there is still no sound after this, take a photo of the connection and settings and send it to us.
Bluetooth won't connect - what can I try?
- Turn Bluetooth off and then on again on both your device and your phone.
- On your phone, delete the previous pairing, if any (“Forget this device” option).
- Make sure your device is visible and not currently connected to another phone.
- Restart your device and try pairing again.
The rear view camera image is black – what could be the problem?
- Check if the camera is receiving power (usually from the +12V of the reversing light).
- Check that the RCA video connector is plugged into the CAMERA IN input.
- Check whether the reversing lights turn on when you shift into reverse and whether the head unit switches to the camera image.
- If multiple resolution modes are available in the menu, select the resolution that matches your camera type (AHD/CVBS, etc.).

Please always read the user manual that came with the device first and review the FAQ above. A significant portion of errors are caused by incorrect connection or settings, which we can resolve quickly - without unnecessary returns.

Withdrawal (14-day right of withdrawal) – how does it work?
According to Government Decree 45/2014. (II. 26.), you can withdraw from your purchase within 14 calendar days without giving any reason if you purchased from us as a consumer (not for a company or individual entrepreneur).
1. Check that you are within the 14-day deadline
The withdrawal period is 14 days from the date of receipt of the product. If you notify us of your withdrawal after this period, it is no longer covered by the mandatory right of withdrawal, but individual consideration is of course possible.
2. Fill out the withdrawal form

Fill it out legibly, with all necessary information, and print it out .
3. Repackage the product
- Place the product in its original factory packaging , with all accessories (cables, frames, adapters, microphone, antennas, user manual, etc.).
- Then place it in a protective outer box suitable for shipping , or wrap it in foil/plastic bags to prevent damage to the original box.
- The package should include:
- the completed withdrawal form ,
- the original invoice or a copy of it .
4. Addressing and sending – by post only
Important: In case of cancellation, you can only return the product by post to the following address:

We cannot accept and have the right to refuse the following shipments:
- cash on delivery (“recipient pays” / postage paid) shipments,
- return receipt/plus-fee shipments, where the additional cost would be charged to the recipient by the post office/courier,
- packages for which the shipping fee is not paid by the sender upon delivery.
5. Product condition and depreciation
According to the law, withdrawal does not mean 14 days of free use . You can examine the product as if you were in a store: you can pick it up, turn it on, and try out basic functions.
A full refund of the purchase price is possible if:
- the product is returned in new, undamaged condition ,
- the factory packaging is not damaged , not torn, not scribbled on, nothing is missing from it,
- all accessories are complete. Signs of assembly may cause a decrease in value.
Depreciation for which the buyer is responsible:
- scratches, damage to the device housing or display resulting from use, or removal or damage or scratching of the factory screen protector,
- damaged, torn, written/stickered factory box, missing accessories, accessories, cables, screws, frames, etc. that were included in the package upon receipt.
- a level of use that goes beyond trial (long-term daily use).
In this case, based on Government Decree 45/2014. (II. 26.), we are entitled to deduct the amount of depreciation of the product from the amount to be refunded.
6. Refund method
- In the case of online payment by bank card, the purchase price will be refunded to the same bank card used for the purchase. Other methods (cash, other bank account) are not available in this case.

In the case of orders paid for on delivery or at the courier, we will refund the amount by bank transfer.
For this we need the following data:- Account holder name
- Bank account number / IBAN
- Bank name (optional)
Warranty defect, service procedure
If you feel that the device is affected by a warranty defect (e.g. it does not start, it is demonstrably malfunctioning), you can send it to our service center as follows:
1. Contact us
Write to us at info@topnavi.hu with the following information:
- Order number
- Car type, year
- Detailed description of the error
- If possible, a photo or video of the error
2. Packaging and documents
If we request a return for service:
- Pack the device securely (preferably in the original box + outer protective box).
- Put it in:
- a precise written description of the error,
- the original invoice or a copy of it .
3. Mailing to the service address – by mail only

It also applies here that we are unable to accept cash on delivery/postage/return receipt shipments .
We will inspect the device and:
- if a manufacturing/warranty defect is found, the device will be repaired or replaced in accordance with the warranty conditions;
- If the defect is not covered by warranty (e.g. due to incorrect connection, external damage), we will inform you and discuss possible solutions.
Legal background – in brief
The above rules are based on the provisions of Government Decree 45/2014. (II. 26.) (on the detailed rules of contracts between consumers and businesses).
According to the Consumer Protection Authority's position: "If we have not only tried the product, but have also used it, we are liable to the company for any resulting decrease in the value of the product."
The relevant European Union directive also states that the consumer can examine the product as if they were in a physical store, but use beyond the trial period results in a decrease in value, for which the consumer is responsible.
