Mitsubishi Android Head Units – what you need to know

Mitsubishi owners often find that modernising the factory radio is harder than on a big European brand, because there is less model-specific choice on the Hungarian market. At TopNAVI we have therefore organised our Mitsubishi Android head unit range by model: ASX, Outlander, Lancer, Pajero and i-MiEV. Every head unit has a factory look and comes with a model-specific frame and a plug-in wiring loom, so there is no cutting, soldering or trimming of a universal frame. The units run with an eight-core processor, an HD touchscreen, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto support, GPS navigation, Bluetooth hands-free calling, a reversing camera input and a multi-language menu, and the factory steering wheel controls are retained after the learning procedure. The most important thing before buying is to identify the generation and the dashboard precisely: on the ASX the frame size differs between the 2010–2014 version and the one built from 2014, and on the Outlander the dashboards of the XL (2006–2012) and the third generation (from 2012) are completely different. It is also worth noting the brand's platform relatives: the ASX's sister models are the Peugeot 4008 and the Citroën C4 Aircross, the Peugeot 4007 and the Citroën C-Crosser were born out of the Outlander XL, and the i-MiEV is practically identical to the Peugeot iOn and the Citroën C-Zero. The shared base helps a lot when looking for parts, but the radio frame can differ between the brands, so always choose the kit for your own model.
