Mazda 3 Android Head Units (BK and BL, 2002–2013) – what you need to know
Mazda 3 Android head units are fitted in place of the factory radio with a model-specific frame and wiring loom, so the appearance of the dashboard is unchanged and nothing has to be cut or soldered. Our range includes the 9-inch version for the first generation Mazda 3 BK (2002–2009) and for the second generation Mazda 3 II BL (2009–2013), as well as the matching reversing camera. Every unit supports wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a full multi-language menu, the Google Play store, Waze, Google Maps and Sygic navigation, Bluetooth hands-free calling, FM/RDS radio, and WiFi and 4G internet. The supplied CAN-BUS adapter keeps the factory steering wheel buttons, the audible and on-screen parking sensor warnings and the climate display working, and when you select reverse the system switches automatically to the reversing camera picture. The units are available at several specification levels – STANDARD, PRO, ELITE and PREMIUM – which differ in processor, memory (from 2+32 GB to 8+128 GB), screen resolution, built-in DSP audio processor and 360-degree camera support. Our products carry a 2-year warranty, ship from stock, and we are happy to help you choose the right model before you buy on +36 76 200 246.
Gyakori kérdések
Which head unit belongs in which Mazda 3 generation?
The first generation Mazda 3 (BK) built between 2002 and 2009 and the second generation Mazda 3 II (BL) built between 2009 and 2013 come with different frames, so there are two separate units - you will find both on this page. The simplest approach is to choose on the basis of your factory radio surround: if you are unsure, send us a photo of it and we will tell you which fits.
Is the factory Bose sound system retained?
Yes. The factory Bose amplifier stays in place and the head unit connects to it with the appropriate adapter, so you do not lose the factory sound. The higher specification levels also have a built-in DSP audio processor, which lets you tune the sound separately - and that works well together with the Bose system.
Are the steering wheel controls, the parking sensors and the climate display retained?
Yes. The CAN-BUS adapter supplied in the package keeps the factory steering wheel buttons, the audible and on-screen parking sensor warnings and the climate display working. When you select reverse, the system switches automatically to the picture from the factory or aftermarket reversing camera.
Do CarPlay and Android Auto work wirelessly?
Yes, every Mazda head unit we sell supports wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, so you can leave the phone in your pocket. It can also be connected with a USB cable, which charges the phone at the same time. At PRO, ELITE and PREMIUM level the connection is faster and more stable thanks to the stronger WiFi module.
What is the warranty and is the installation difficult?
Every head unit and reversing camera comes with a 2-year warranty and a Hungarian invoice. The unit connects to the factory plugs with a model-specific wiring loom, so in most cases the installation can be done at home and is reversible. If you would rather leave it to a professional, our partner workshops at several locations across Hungary will fit it - call us on +36 76 200 246.
