Hyundai Android Head Units – what you need to know
TopNAVI's range includes a factory-look Android head unit and car stereo for the most sought-after Hyundai models: i10, i20, i30, ix20, ix35, Tucson 1, 2 and 3, and Santa Fe. The units are fitted in place of the factory radio with a model-specific frame and wiring loom, so the car's interior is left untouched and the installation is reversible. Every head unit supports wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a full multi-language menu, the Google Play store, Waze, Google Maps and Sygic navigation, Bluetooth hands-free calling, FM/RDS radio, and WiFi and 4G internet. The supplied CAN-BUS adapter keeps the factory steering wheel buttons, the audible and on-screen parking sensor warnings and the climate display working, and when you select reverse the system switches automatically to the reversing camera picture. It is worth knowing that Hyundai and Kia belong to the same group, so several models are technical siblings: the ix20 is the Kia Venga, and the ix35 is the European name of the second generation Tucson. The units are available at several specification levels – STANDARD, PRO, ELITE and PREMIUM – which differ in processor, memory (from 2+32 GB to 8+128 GB), screen resolution, built-in DSP audio processor and 360-degree camera support. Our products carry a 2-year warranty, ship from stock, and we are happy to help you choose the right model before you buy on +36 76 200 246.
Frequently asked questions
How do I know which Hyundai head unit fits my car?
The choice comes down to the model, the model year and the frame of the factory radio. The i10 (2007-2013), the i30 (2011-2017) and the ix20 (2010-2019) need the 9-inch version, the ix35 (2009-2015) and the Santa Fe (2006-2012) also come with their own frames, and the Tucson 1 (2004-2009) is available with a 10.1-inch screen. If you are unsure, send us a photo of your factory radio and we will tell you which is right.
Are the ix35 and the Tucson the same car?
Between 2009 and 2015, yes: the second generation Tucson was sold in Europe as the ix35, while other markets kept the Tucson name. It is the same body and the same dashboard, so the same head unit fits. The 2004-2009 Tucson 1 and the 2015-2019 Tucson 3 need a different frame.
Does a Hyundai head unit also fit the sister Kia models?
In several cases yes, because Hyundai and Kia belong to the same group and use shared platforms. The best known example is the ix20 and Kia Venga pair, which were built with practically the same body and a very similar dashboard. Before ordering, though, always check with us on the basis of the factory radio frame.
Are the factory steering wheel controls, the reversing camera and the parking sensors retained?
Yes. The CAN-BUS adapter supplied in the package keeps the factory steering wheel buttons, the audible and on-screen parking sensor warnings and the climate display working. The factory reversing camera picture is retained, and if the car has no camera one can be fitted at any time - the head unit switches to it automatically when you select reverse.
What is the warranty and can I have it fitted by you?
Every head unit and reversing camera comes with a 2-year warranty in accordance with Hungarian law, with an invoice. In most cases the installation can be done at home, because the unit connects to the factory plugs and nothing has to be cut or soldered. If you would rather leave it to a professional, our partner workshops at several locations across Hungary will fit it - call us on +36 76 200 246.
