Mitsubishi Reversing Cameras – what you need to know

Mitsubishi reversing cameras in model-specific versions, with FullHD 1080P resolution. The camera fits in place of the factory number plate light, so it can be installed without drilling or an external bracket, with a factory look.

The Mitsubishi range includes cameras for the ASX and the ASX 2011–2014, units made for the Lancer-ex and the Lancer Sportback, a camera for the Outlander XL GT Airtrek 2006–2013 and one for the newer Outlander, and a camera for the i-MiEV 5D Hatch. On the ASX it is worth checking the model year carefully, because the 2011–2014 version needs a different camera from the other years.

Every Mitsubishi reversing camera has a standard RCA video output, so it works with all of our Android car stereo head units: when you select reverse, the picture appears automatically with guide lines. An RCA video cable is needed to connect them, available in 6, 8, 10, 15 and 20 metre lengths under Accessories. Our products carry a 2-year warranty.

Which Mitsubishi models is there a reversing camera for?

Why are there two separate ASX cameras?

The factory number plate light of the 2011-2014 ASX differs from that of the other model years, so a separate camera is made for it. Before ordering it is worth checking the model year and the design of the factory housing.

Which camera does the Outlander need?

A separate camera was made for the 2006-2013 Outlander XL, GT and Airtrek models, while the newer Outlander takes the same camera as the Lancer Sportback.

Does the installation require drilling?

No. The model-specific Mitsubishi reversing camera goes in place of the factory number plate light, so the bumper and the bodywork do not have to be taken apart.

What cable does it need and what is the warranty?
