Porsche Reversing Cameras – what you need to know

Porsche reversing cameras in model-specific versions, with FullHD 1080P resolution. The camera fits in place of the factory number plate light, so the bumper does not have to be drilled and once fitted the camera keeps a factory look.

At the moment cameras for the Porsche Cayenne 2011–2013, the Porsche Cayenne 958 (2011–2015) and the Porsche Macan (2015) are available, as well as a general Porsche version. On the Cayenne it is worth checking the exact model year and the internal model code (958), because the factory housings of the two versions differ. If you are unsure, measure the aperture of the factory number plate light and choose on that basis.

Every Porsche reversing camera has a standard RCA video output, so it works with all of our Android car stereo head units: when you select reverse, the picture appears automatically on the screen with guide lines. An RCA video cable is needed to connect the camera and the head unit, available in 6, 8, 10, 15 and 20 metre lengths under Accessories. Our products carry a 2-year warranty.

Which Porsche models is there a reversing camera for?

At the moment a camera is available for the Cayenne 2011-2013, the Cayenne 958 (2011-2015) and the Macan (2015), as well as in a general Porsche version.

What is the difference between the two Cayenne cameras?

The factory number plate light housings of the 2011-2013 Cayenne and the 958-coded one built between 2011 and 2015 differ, so a separate camera is made for each.

Does the installation require drilling or cutting?

No. The model-specific Porsche reversing camera goes in place of the factory number plate light, so the bumper and the bodywork do not have to be taken apart.

What picture quality can I expect?

The cameras are FullHD 1080P and connect with a standard RCA video output, so when you select reverse the picture appears automatically on the Android car stereo screen with guide lines.

What cable does it need and what is the warranty?
