How does the installation work?
Installation starts with removing the factory radio; the new head unit then goes into its place and plugs back into the factory connectors. The steps, broadly:
- Carefully release the clips on the centre console and around the factory radio surround.
- Pull out the old radio and disconnect the factory connectors.
- Connect the new head unit to the factory wiring.
- Test: check the audio system, the steering wheel controls and the factory functions before fitting.
- Refit the head unit and clip the surround back into place.
